The Torbiere del Sebino are a nature reserve declared ‘wetland of international importance’ for the biodiversity they preserve. The marshy area is characterised by the presence of reeds, small woods and ponds and was once used for peat extraction.
The lake is part of the Valle Camonica - Alto Sebino Unesco Biosphere Reserve. With an area of 65.3 km2, it is a true paradise for nature lovers.
