The Calvario convent stands on Mount Delma. It was annexed to the pre-existing 16th century church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, a rare example of a Greek cross building in the area and built in the image of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The complex has a long history linked to the education of young people in the area, first to the art of silk spinning and processing, today to food and wine.

Rodengo Saiano is located between the rivers Mella and Oglio, and in Roman times was crossed by an important consular road that connected Brescia to Val Camonica. In a dominant position stands the Convento del Calvario, which houses an academy for agricultural and tourism training. Not to be missed are the Palace of Villa Mondella and the village of Sant’Antonio with its farms and murals.
