Palazzo Caprioli is probably a 14th-century building. It was the home of the main branch of the Caprioli family for five centuries and features a typical expression of the period: frescos. Today it houses a cultural center.

The village owes its name to the Sala family, who dominated the area during the Middle Ages. Churches in the village include the Parish Church of S. Stefano and the Santa Croce (Holy Cross) Church. Some interesting palaces can be admired in the village, such as the Giordani-Zenucchini, the Caprioli or the remains of Sale Castle.
