Dovecotes are a typical element of historic rural architecture and dot the landscape of Franciacorta with some 150 richly ornamented towers. Pigeons provided a source of livelihood, but were also useful for communications, while their droppings were used as fertilizer and in the tanning of hides.
Cellatica gives its name to the DOC red wine of the same name that is produced in the area. Of particular note is the parish church of San Giorgio, which houses a work by Francesco Paglia (St. George on Horseback and the Dragon) considered a masterpiece. Several important buildings stand in the municipality: Palazzo Covi, Villa Comini and Palazzo Pulusella. Of great religious interest is the Santuario della Stella, visited by many believers.
