The Serio Park was established in 1985 to protect the landscape along the river Serio and its natural, historical and cultural values. The park is rich in hiking and cycling trails, historic villas and irrigation works. Not to be missed are: the Malpaga reserve, the “G. Longhi” botanical garden and the Water Museum.

Admire the Parish Church of the Redeemer and the historic Villa Sottocasa. Don’t miss the Grumelli Tower, which resisted the assault of the Ghibellines in 1403. Valle del Serio and the Airport loop (4 km)
This loop takes you through Parco del Serio, where you can enjoy the natural beauty of its trails, meadows, watercourses, and characteristic flora. The route runs alongside Milan-Bergamo airport Orio al Serio, leading you to the Bergamo train station. You will then reach the main route that takes you to Città Bassa (Lower City) and Città Alta (Upper City) of Bergamo
